List filters are a type of data filtering mechanism used in reporting to narrow down data based on a predefined set of values. They allow users to include or exclude specific items from their reports by selecting from a list of available options. This makes it easier to focus on particular segments of the data and generate more relevant and actionable insights.

There are two types of lists: Vertical and Horizontal. This document will guide you through using a Vertical List, while the same principles and properties are applicable to Horizontal Lists as well.
